Crop circle photographed on 11th July 2007 from the top of Knap Hill looking towards Woodborough Hill.

Helicopter will have the best view of the formation. Can just see a line of people walking along the tractor tracks to the circle.

Panorama and cloud shadows.

Top of Knap Hill rises behind me.

Can just see the top of Adam's Grave long barrow on Walkers Hill.

Carpet of chalk-downland flowers. Lots of Marbled White butterflies but not resting long enough to photograph - too windy.

Flowers over the whole hill top - beautiful.

Sketchbook, water soluable pencils and inspiring landscape.

Looking south-west towards Wilcot I can see a second crop circle tucked into the corner of a field.

Circles in the land... fascinating.

Have found your blog by accident... so pleased I did. Hows the floods in your part of Wiltshire? Lovely photos and drawings, thanks for sharing. The name game of artist/textile artist is a difficulty, but never let it stifle your creativity. Your work is too good.
Best Wishes
Maggie.
Yay Margaret!!! Finally I've found your blog. Your work was the first fibre work that I found about 3 years ago (only on the web sadly as I live on an island) that truly jumped out at me and you have been the main inspiration for me to look at fibre as a medium. It freed me from the chains of paint on canvas and I owe you a huge debt of thanks for sharing your work on the web.
Such beautiful photographs! It's wonderful to see where your inspiration comes from.
Wonderful fotos and Quilts!!! I love it!
Wonderful stuff - takes me back to my botanical survey days on Salisbury Plain ( 20 years ago!) My sketching then was site maps bounded by tank tracks.
